Taj Mahal
Taj Mahal is the largest and one of the most visited monuments in the world. It was built for the sake of love. It is located in the city of Agra, India. It is near Jumna River. This monument is very important for Muslim culture. It is the most precious place in India. It was constructed within 20 years. It was built during the reign of Shah Cihan. After his beloved wife’s death, Shah Cihan wanted to build a place for her memory. The construction of the monument began in 1630. It took many years to complete it. Finally, the construction completed in 1652. Many emeralds, diamonds, and pearls were used in the construction. Inside, there is a picture of Shah Cihan and his wife. Thousands of people visit this monument every year. It is a fascinating place.
Disneyland
Disneyland is one of the biggest theme parks in the world. It is 30 km far away from the center of Paris. There are many restaurants, hotels, swimming pools, and a golf field in Disneyland. Every year, millions of people visit the place. Although it mostly attracts children, adults also visit this place. It is founded by American film producer, Walt Disney. In Disneyland, people can find a chance to see Disney characters and studios. There is an artificial lake in Disneyland. Its name is Lake Disney. There are five thematic areas in Disneyland; Fantasyland, Discoveryland, Frontierland, Adventureland, and Main Street USA. Fantasyland and Discoveryland are the most popular ones. In Fantasyland, the children can find fairy tale and cartoon characters. In Discoveryland, the children can see the science and tricks of the films.
Samarkand
“Samarkand – Crossroad of Cultures” is the official moniker used to describe this city as a UNESCO World Heritage site. Samarkand conjures up images of ancient times and sounds almost mythical. However, this is no fairytale: Samarkand today is a lively city that cherishes its traditions. Archaeological excavations have revealed a history which dates back 3500 years; the town of Afrosiab was founded in the 7th century BC. The area was continuously inhabited and served as a melting pot of diverse cultures. It was conquered by Alexander the Great and Genghis Khan, was the sumptuous capital of the Timurid Empire and played an important role in the development of Islamic architecture and arts. You won’t want to miss Registan square, the Bibi Khanum and Gur Emir Mausoleums, the Shah-i-Zinda complex, Afrosiab & the Ulughbek Observatory.
